Train Horn installed in my WK2

Hi everybody,
Not sure if this is the correct thread, just wanted to share the pics of the instalation if my train horn in my Limited 2014.
I took quite some time as the air tank and compressor had to be installed in a very tight space, at the end it all worked very well and very happy with the results.
I have now both horns, the train and I also switched the original for a better one as I think that was comes original is more for a bike than for a SUV.
Hopefully from the pics you get the idea.
Rgds.

Not worried about all the air flow blockage those horns will cause up in front of the radiator?

Donzo,
Sorry no video...you mean from the installation or from the sound ?...if you want/need the sound its easy as you can listen to it at hornblasters.

Brentwoodkris - not a problem with air flow, I used it in highway and at a constant speed of 100-110 miles per hour temperature and everything was fine, no sign of any problems, also, the installation was done at an official dealer, so guarantee was not affected.

Rgds

Good question...my answer would be...why not ?..

Anyways, down here (Latin America) traffic is always a problem, nobdoy cares about rules and regulations..and I like having something under my hood that in case I need it I can make sure they will listen/move or turn.
Rgds.

Up here in America we have the same issue in urban environments.
Placing something like a train horn in your car will get you in trouble with the law for disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, excessive noise, and in some states laws specifically against having these horns installed in a car/truck. It also raises the chance of someone damaging your car or your face because you thought it was a good idea to use a train horn when you didn't agree with their driving skills.

It's your car so do as you may. I can only wish you good luck with your horns and your face. :D

In my Subaru I had installed Hella Supertones, very loud horns. I found when I used them it did not get people out of my way. I think they were too loud, people were dumbfounded trying to figure out is making all the noise and where it's coming from.

Well, here we dont have those issues, there is no law telling you what you might have under your hood, I travel to the states often and I agree that nobody there makes any noise, everybody respects a STOP sign, etc.etc..here..its a complete different story, been able to tell them you are coming might actually save someone...but, dont get me wrong, its not that I go blowing horns...its good to know they are there if neded..thats basically the whole point.

Would like to see a video of the Jeep making the train sound.

I do agree with Victor, I'm from Latin America, traffic in the US is mild compared to the imbeciles down here. Nobody, absolutely nobody obeys the traffic. Altought, the more you honk the more they slow down or block to spite you.

A train horn would definitely be a no-no. As Mofsteel stated it wouldn't be pretty. Here your car gets keyed if you take up two spots in a parking lot to protect your little baby, I could only imagine what a train horn would do.
