ELSD in a 2014 limited?

Since the the ELSD is reported to now come standard on the the 2015's CRDs and ORA I, what are the odds of adding the ELSD to a 2014 that is equipped the same? Milous maybe better equipped to answer but: if memory serves me, the ELSD requires/has 230mm rear axle? What else would be needed? Computer/ECU programing?

The reason for my question being posted, is that I am anticipating delivery of a new 2014 sometime within the next three weeks - this was the only option I could not get, as I did not want the Quadra-lift air suspension. Suggestions?

If that's the case then I'm going to get ORA1 instead of ORA2 on mine.

ELSD comes with V8 or Diesel on the 2014s.

Not according to the window stickers.

Edit: On the Summit trim level it is standard with a v8 or diesel.

ELSD is the difference between Quadra-Trac and Quadra-Drive. It might not be listed separately.

That's fantastic - stuff I already know. Well versed on the difference between quadra-drive and quadra-Trac. Still doesn't answer my question. On the 2015's it's standard on either drive system, with or without quadra-lift. Can it be retrofitted back to the 2014's??

No retrofit is available through any normal means. It's not just a simple part replacement...involves substantial portions of the drive train as well as the vehicle computer systems. Very likely less expensive to just buy a new Jeep with the feature, even with a hit on the value!

Good for you. I was responding to the post before mine, as to why it might not show on the window sticker.

This is what I see on the website. I want the ELSD but I don't want the air suspension. I want to avoid having to look to the aftermarket to get a LSD. I'm a little disappointed that the front axle doesn't have limited slip too. I had a 2004 WJ Overland with front and rear limited slip. The window sticker doesn't mention Quadra-Drive 2 on non-ORA2 WK2s as well.

On a Limited, if you opt for ORA-II, which is the only way to get QD2, you also get QL. I can't find any other way to get the QD2 on a Limited, DK. This is consistent with prior years, too. If you go Overland or Summit, QL is standard. QD2 also requires the V8 or EcoDiesel engine option.

I honestly like QL...really kicks things up for convenience and versatility.
