New SRT8 Seats.
I finished installing the seats I just got, It was a real PITA. I would think i'm the first to do this. I looked and couldn't find anything. I think it look's great with the khaki interior on my Jeep.

First let me explain, Then i'll get to the pics.

So these seats are out of a 2008 SRT8 that was wrecked in front end collision. The first problem was that they were from a 2008 going into a 2005. They bolt in no problem, But the wiring harness is different. (power to the motors, airbag, seat heaters, etc.)
I tried to get a wiring diagram and had no luck. So... after figuring out that the airbag plug is the same from both seats we ruled out the risk of running power to the airbag and setting them off, We jumped almost all the wires in both harnesses and everything worked, except the computer in the seat was acting up, threw a CEL and said "Vehicle in Reverse" in the EVIC. So then I swapped the computers, Same problem.

At this point I was pissed. Then I decided to strip my factory seat harness out of the seat and swap it with the Frankenstein harness that we just made. Everything worked perfectly.
So basically, I swapped all the computers, and wiring from my limited seats and installed it on the SRT seats.

.... That was the driver seat only......

The Passenger seat was worse, It has sensors built into the track that detect whether or not to turn off the passenger airbag. I swapped the entire assembly off of the limited passenger seat and installed it onto the passenger SRT seat. Worked great.

Note: I still have an airbag light on in my cluster. I have read that the passenger seat needs to be calibrated using a scan tool. I will do that next week.

Now for the rear seats. Should be easy right? Ya... well it wasn't......

I was taking out the bolts that hold down the back rest of the rear seats when I got to the last bolt (seatbelt bolt) It came out halfway, then the nut on the underside broke off of it's weld, but still on the bolt. So if you can imagine the bolt is now loose but can't come out. Well that nut is inside the frame rail and there is no way to get to it. LONG story short, I cut into the frame rail. Cut the bolt out, replaced the bolt, welded the nut to the inside of the rail, Welded it back up. smoothed it back out, primed, painted.

Rear seat was then installed in 2 minutes. FML

Here's the pics.

Dude, I was thinking the whole time, This is bullshit.... I wish I didn't buy these things. But with everything done, I wouldn't have it any other way!

I paid $800 for the seats and center console lid.
