Check Engine Light P2000 on 2014 Diesel Overland

I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland diesel. The check engine light came on and the dealer is too busy to look at it for a few days. Does any one know what the code P2000 means?

Thanks.

I think it's for "NOx Trap Efficiency Below Threshold"

thanks FHLH.

I noticed a recent TSB was released: http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_1801814c.pdf

It mentions ** P20EE-00 - SCR NOX CATALYST EFFICIENCY BELOW THRESHOLD BANK 1; to address the possibility of Urea over dosing. **

Hopefully it's just needs a flash.

Well, the dealer applied the TSB and said that should fix the problem. Two days later and the same P2000 code reappeared. I guess its back to the dealer. In total I've been to the dealer for repairs about five or six times in the past seven months for two problems.

My Jeep was in the shop for five days. Hopefully the check engine light is gone for good. The problem was crystals in the dosing injector. They replaced the injector and the DEF fluid. I filled up the DEF when I purchased the car in November. I guess I won't risk filling it to the top anymore. It seems safer to let it run low and then only fill it up to around 40%. That should last me around six months.

My sister has a 14 Eco and her check engine light just came on. Code P20EE. "Nitrogen in catalyst in bank 1 is below threshold." Same problem with the dealer pushing her appointment out a week.

Has there been any resolution on this trouble code? I did find the following TSB on WK2jeeps.com:

TSB 18-081-14

http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_1801814d.pdf

I also did some uncle google searching and many with the same issue had to have the DEF injector, DEF pump and even the Catalytic converter replaced.

Any updates?

Many of us are going through it now (including myself) and in most cases end up with a replacement CAT. Please note that the CAT is a new, redesigned, CAT. For more reading head over to the DEF problems thread in the EcoDiesel forums.

Hey thanks. Hopefully that TSB will help and that they replace the CAT the first time and we don't play games where we have to go back to the dealership multiple times.
