Dual exhaust for WK??

I was behind a WK awhile back that had a dual exhaust, it wasnt in the stock location but more mid bumper area on both sides. Me, I want to add another pipe coming out the opposite side. I have the 3.7 V6. What is needed, as in can I just have the shop weld on another pipe from the existing tail pipe after the muffler or would I need a dual output muffler? I have the magnaflow SS catback right now, and would like to keep the muffler I have now if possible. Plus would this even work, with back pressure and sound wise? Im doing this mainly for looks, but also want it to sound right.

look for a post by Marlin....it is very tight on the drivers side becasue of the fuel tank...but it can be done by an excellent exhaust man. It will probably cost a pretty penny as well. If you were close to me i have an exhaust genious in my little town.....

forgot to add....performance wise on the 3.7 I'm gonna guess the single is the best way to go.....

I just wish I never got this magnaflow cat back because of price. I went to an exhaust shop owned by a freind of a friend and he put it on for 50 bucks. But he told me he could of made me one for half price. I def like the look of dual exhaust, having it look symetrical in the rear. I have the srt repo's on so I can take the spare out to use that space. I dont plan on switching in winter really, srt8's dont right?

most srt guys dont...unless they live in a harsh climate. Do you have the runflats? Thats why the SRT doesnt have the spare...those tires can be driven on completely void of air for 50 miles.

Spend it on what though, ive done almost everything I want to it so far. I think a dual exhaust would be sick on her. lol

I had a thread about this on the 'other' site.. Marlin had posted some nice shots of what kind of piping is required on the drivers side, but damn did it look nice :) Only way to know for sure is to go scope out some shops and see what prices they give you, or if the guy can even work the magic! I still need to go to the shop down the street and see what's up with this one guy I know. I will post back later on what price he gives me and whatnot. Now, I do forget if Benno had 2 mufflers, or a 1 in 2 out setup.

Thats def alot of work and prob $$. Plus it doesnt look like the rear differential cover would unbolt that easy if needed with the pipe right there.
