what to do

yeah im the one that had the 99 wj g.c that got totaled wednesday. well i just went out & bought me an 06 g.c.:D question is when i got my new ride home i put my 22in wheels on they fit. but every hour to two hour the tire pressure monitor lamp comes on & it chimes. so i was wonder if there is a way to disconnect it or what can i do. is there something that i didnt do that i was supposed to do. much help would be app. i really dont want to have to sell my 22s. they really look great on it. its sharp looking. blue with a 4.7. so i bettered myself. i guess thats a good thing:thumbsup: thanks guys

Re: what to do

you need 06 cmpatible sensors is my guess.

if they are the same freq, try driving. they need about 30 miles to get in synch. if you done that, then lets try a negative terminal and brake on for 30 secs reset.

then see. still ng, then you may just need a set of 06 sensors.

when i got new wheels, i bought the 'correct ones' for my MY and I never even got a light. they just relearned on their own.

Re: what to do

if that dont work, you may need to get the 06 ones. get a part # from j4j and hit up ebay or even a wanted post here. then its a swap out tpms party at the tire shop

Re: what to do

def. drive for about 30 minutes and see if that helps....if not..then like rob says...your gonna have to invest in new/used sensor. FYI-they dont have to remove the tire to replace them

Re: what to do

I had the same problem with mine cuz I have WJ rims on them and they came with the WJ sensors so therefore just go ahead and get the 06 ones and replace them ... I drove for bout 50 miles and did the disconnect - reconnect worked like a charm

When I put on my wheels and tires, discount tire reset them to 35 in the computer for me. Haven't gone off once.
