UCA help

Repost from JU.

Calling on Carlos, and any other ball joint experts.....

So..... my CRD has 47K miles on it, been on the RR lift for about 40K of those with Bilsteins.... I was driving it around yesterday, saturday cruising and I heard a slight poping noise every time I took off from a stop sign or light.
So today, took the driver side wheel off, and I can barely replicate, but it appears to be the ball joint on the UCA.
Whats the replacement scoop on these.... I do not want a spehrical bearing $650 UCA.... the wife primarily drives the Jeep, so thats out of the question. Do I replace with new UCA? do I justy replace ball joint... etc etc..
HELP!!

Also, how unsafe is it to drive temporarily..... (while i order parts and repair). The wife uses it for around town errands, but I want to make sure it safe in the mean time.

I dont think you can replace the ball joint on the upper. I had some extras...but I sent them to Carlos....LOL

FYI-they arent real expensive either
