Brake Pads

Hey guys, been doing lots of reading on here about brake pads. I see that the Bendix and Wagner pads seem to be most popular. What type of pads should i be looking for? i know there are different types of compounds. Maybe even throw me some part numbers or links to these at a good price! I need some ones that will dust less than the stock ones, im sick of driving 2 days and having dirty rims and im not even driving hard! But what would all you recommend?

Thermo quite pads apparently are the best from what the members here have posted

Re: Brake Pads

Ive been wondering this myself.

Many people say keep it stock. Alot of others say after market brands but stock style. Alot say Ceramic.

Alot of people say Ceramic brakes are quiet, and low dust but suck at stopping and eat up rotors.

Then there are rotors. Drilled, slotted, drilled and slotted, stock.

www.r1concepts.com is where most recommend to buy brakes on here. Hes a vendor that gives great prices. I plan to call him and ask whats best when i order my new brakes this summer.

bendix titanium on the front and bendix ceramics on the rears is what I had....no squeaks, no dust and stock braking

EBC Greenstuff Organics is what I run on my 99 wj 4.0L, squeal sometime at a certain pressure but they stop good, and better when they heat up, and are also easier on the rotors.

I just changed my brake pads about 2 months ago cause I was having the same problem. I went with Duralast Gold Cmax which you can find these at autozone for $60 front and $60 rear. They are ceramic ultra quiet pads and they work great. I noticed improved braking over the stock breaks (maybe cause mine were crap to begin with), no noise, and very little dust. I'm really impressed with the whole set up which only cost me $120 to change front and back. They come with a lifetime warranty and autozone will replace them if they ever wear out so its a pretty decent deal. Yes, it is true that they will replace them with new ones when they wear out, just save your receipt and bring back the old pads.

Bellow is the link...but you can just stop in any autozone and they are usually in stock. Driving there was the simplest thing to do for me instead of ordering online and waiting for shipping...just a thought.
