DAYLIGHTER long range HIDs

im searching for some long range driving lights to put on my pops truck. he needs it for the off roading he does. anyways he was about to drop 750 on a pair of KC's DAYLIGHTER 6" Diameter HID kit.

when he told me the price i took it upon my self to find him a better set for cheaper than he was going to pay. it doesnt have to be KC brand but the specification needs to be HID- 600,000 candle power! or up to 600,000 or very similar.

just trying to save my pops some dough. i tried convincing him he doesnt need that much output but hes like me- stubborn, so once he got his mind set, he goes with it. i told him, if i cant find a cheaper or better product for him...then spend your 800 bucks on driving lights!

if anybody got any input and/or recommendations, we would greatly appreciate it.

cheers-

There is that...and not being HID will drastically drop the price also.

thanks yo, looking for a bit more power than that one. cheers though bro

- it has to be HID to output even close to that amount of candle power though

Those lights he linked to are HID

600,000 candle power isn't that bright. I have a 5 million candle power flashlight, And it's a baby compared to some out there (15-20 million)

Those lights that were linked to you are much brighter than that. I have 3 of them, they project light up to a mile away easily. Buying the KC, or PIAA etc. is a waste of money. They're 10x more expensive than the Rugged Ridge and they do the same thing, Also, The KC's have external ballasts, the Rugged Ridge ballast is built into the housing. Which makes it easier to mount.

EDIT: The KC's are 50W, The Rugged Ridge ones are 35W. That will make a difference, A $500 difference? I dunno?

thanks for your reply, we have a few handheld lights that are much greater than 600,000 ourselves. but then again this isnt for me. like mentioned above, my pops is stubborn, i tried convincing him with item(s) (like you provided) but hes set on those KCs for some odd reason. ive reasoned with him a lil bit, maybe hell change his tune. then again this is my pops, so i found him the set hes wants to buy but much cheaper (489.00) and sent him that link.

thanks for the help though.

cheers-
