Exhaust & Diablo Predator then MHP or CMR Tune.......

If you want a nice HP boost, I would do this:

1.) Heads, Headers, and Cam
2.) Then you NEED a tune and at this point I would highly suggest a Dyno tune
3.) Upgraded T-case (stock one IMO will not cut it at this point)
4.) Builder Bill ValveBody

It really depends on how much you're looking to spend at every "step".

If I was in your position, I'd get headers/exhaust (not cheap so you could count it as two steps), then Diablo (CMR) , then go from there.

Re: Whats next?

im thinking cmr, then eibachs and woody links to help a lil with my 60 times. then the headers and exhaust. then keep that for a lil and do a few more visula mods. then start the big powers mods. i.e. heads headers cams, vavlebody, t-case, t-converter. then maybee a blower.......

Re: Whats next?

If you are doing headers you might as well do H&C because installation for headers, most places take out the heads. FYI

x2. Heads and cam would be a good mod and would save in install for the exact reasons Joe said.

Re: Whats next?

Is this for a 5.7 or 4.7?

If you want "big horsepower", then forced induction would be the way to go. Otherwise, you're gonna spend a lot of $ for heads/cam and everything that goes with it (i.e. headers/tuning), and your tractability will suffer...

You can do all the bolt-ons though and get a good gain and do it in pieces. I imagine you could get to the high 300's in the hp dept. (assuming 5.7) and make for a nice engine. These things respond well to most of the typical "BO's", but are still limited if you want serious power (To me, that would be 150+ hp gain) until you change the major items...Remember though, to get the best 'package', you'd want to think about changing your torque converter as well and it's a shame we don't have any selection of gearing for the diffs. I have idea the limit of our drivetrain either, so keep that in mind, as well.

Interesting...Is this because of the lack of room for the header install? Would make some sense, but what a PITA to install headers, as we have no clearance there :( and imagine this is why they do that.

Does anyone know if there are any aluminum lightweight crank pulleys for the 5.7? I have made this mod to other rides I had with great results and it's a pretty simple and cheap mod
