grinding noise in the rear

So i am hearing a grinding noise that sounds like it is coming from the rear.

i ONLY hear it when i get on the gas off the line from a dead stop.

if i take off normally - no noise
if i slam gas while already moving - no noise

if i floor it from a dead stop the rear grinds

could it be the limited slip?

i did bend the bottom lip of the dif cover on the last wheelin trip but i don't think i lost fluid - maybe i did and didn't notice

could that be the reason?

I'm still under 36k miles so i'm just ganna get it into jeep but any thoughts you guys have are always appreciated.

Are you sure it's the differential (noise) and not rubbing something? I can't imagine what would rub, but seems like when you 'floor it', the vehicle would squat more than under normal conditions. Not saying that's it, but something to check; look for witness marks somewhere, least to eliminate it.
