our WK clear coat hardness

guys i just want to say something about meguiars 105.. i am well aware scott and others have used it and like it BUT it is the STRONGEST compound they make! Meguiars preaches least aggressive to most aggressive!

I also have 105 and it's barely been used because ultimate compound did the trick.Ultimate compound works on our clear coats and can be bought locally for $9. it is A LOT friendlier to use than 105(less dust, doesn't flash as quick, longer work time)

IF ultimate compound doesn't work after 4-5 passes THEN try 105!!!Don't just jump to 105 directly!

if you don't believe me, go to meguiarsonline.com and search!

I also want to add, ultimate compound worked for me but if your clear coat is really bad, you will have to use 105!

maybe we can make this thread into a post your picture of your swirls and what you used to remove them!

So is this a compound or a polish?

I thought compound was on the same parallel as clay.. no?

Re: our WK clear coat hardness

NO, clay removes contaminants that are bonded to your clear coat that reg car was soap does not remove.

compound actually cuts away at the CC so the CC is even and smooth.... scratches and swirls cause the CC not to be smooth and flat. Compound actually removes CC

Well this answers my question, lol

Seems like the perfect solution for those who don't need a VERY HEAVY cut.

indeed! no reason to go straight to 105. meguiars also preaches the same thing on their own forum. i spent a lot of time talking to mike phillips before he left for autogeek
