Someone cut holes in my hood! WTF! (Well, more like cut one hole and mounted a few)
I knew I wanted to do something different but nothing too crazy....
It's work in progress, just got primed and a quick coat of black base to mount it for the show today. It's going back to the shop tomorrow to get finished.
If there is interest, there are plans to start making the in CF and fiberglass.
You can't really see, but the underside isn't finished yet either.
The hood strut wasn't doing it's job so I enlisted the shop towels.
It is steel, but it was a cheaper alternative to scrap in case I didn't like it or it turned out like shiat.
Working on the rain/water issue. The hood just got done to this point Saturday afternoon. My body shop got the hood on Weds evening so not a bad turnaround.
let me know when the rain issues are resolved and if the hood doesnt cost as much as 5x's as it should like ALL of the other hood manufactures around for the Jeep when you get it done!!!
Working on the rain issue now. Not sure on labor issues, but I have about $225 invested in parts; $125 for the hood and $100 for the vents (shipping killed me on those).
It's at the body shop now so I should have a total price by the end of the week hopefully.
No problem, I was looking at the pictures i took of your suspension, i am running the same set up, but i think its your skirts and bumper that make it look that much lower
Alright guys, I know it's been forever but my hood and the rest of my Jeep will be done this week. There was a slight delay as I couldn't get my Jeep back to them to finish it up and then someone decided to rearrange my fender. So, all that is just about done and will be put back together this week.
The water issue has been addressed and is pretty damn cool if I do say so myself, much better than what I would've thought of. It will still vent even when in place.
I will have it back mid-week and will post pics as soon as it gets home.
Picked her up tonight, great to drive it again! All I have for now is the pic outside the body shop. I'll get pics of the water management solution tomorrow hopefully.
