brakes done!

well with this being both a perform and style mod i stick the thread here.

For the brakes i used the ones found from this eBay store

My initial thought of the brakes upon opening the package were great, they seemed flawless. So far after the bedding process they are perfect and make stopping so much nicer. Plus they look bitchin.

The install on the brakes was pretty easy, basically remove and replace. I only had 2 snags on the whole process. The first was getting the front rotor off, I didnt realize at first that there was a little o ring around the CV axle center that had to come off. But that was easy to remove with a little pick. The only other issue was that you will need a crow bar to remove the rears. The Ebrakes on the WKs dont have a release like my TJ did, so i had to pry the rotors off of the ebrake pads. I followed ALombardi 's post on how to paint. For my rears i had the little "Jeep" caps but i removed them for good.

I cant wait to buy some wheels, so that it wont hide them so much.

those rear rotors are a pain in the ass to get off. i have to do mine soon and i am not looking forward to it. i use a rubber mallet or a hammer to get them off.

Was it hard getting it off with all the rust on those threads? 3 of mine are OK but when I had my tires put on a few months ago the guys must have broke the center plastic Jeep cap on the wheel and water has been pooling inside so im worried when I go to remove the rotors rust will be an issue since I keep forgetting to stop by the dealer and buy a new cap.
