viper 5901
I had my alarm tweeked this weekend. I put in the tilt sensor, and wanted to put in the proximity sensor but my boi was having a hard time. he could only hook it up to the "trunk" therefore my alarm wont tweet or warn some one who is near my car rather just go off. anyone had this same problem? it had to do with the fact that the old viper had a port and the new one doesnt.

Im not very savy about it, but any info I can relay to my boi would help. thanks

Re: viper 5901
take it to another shop. I got the same alarm and will be getting the 4 auto windows and mic installed when I can save up $200

Re: viper 5901
There is a secondary triggered input on the Viper's, other than the trunk. It will recognize the sensor (any viper sensor) and give you proper pre-warn and full trigger stages on the alarm. However it will only page the remote in the case of full trigger.

Re: viper 5901

the first guide is for the 4791, my old alarm and the second one is for the 5900. All tyhat was really done was swapped out, but theres a port on the 4791 where the schock sensor use to go and there is arent any on the 5900.

If you guys know or any info or suggestions I can make to my boi, I would really appreciate, thanks or the help.

Re: viper 5901
Use the "optional mux port for additional sensors". Should be a 4 pin port set up for any Directed Electronics sensors. Will indicate the exact sensor on the remote when triggered.
