You looking to run some boost? I hear the 3.7 motor is boostable w/ proper pistons. I dont know stock compression but Im sure if you drop it a little the motor could handle 8-10lbs. No to sure about the valvetrain, something to look into maybe? Plenty of room under the hood I can tell you that haha.

You'd need to figure out the size that are in there and see what you can pull off the shelf.

For example, i had a 79 honda civic... typical performance part was using pistons off a motorcycle since they where better. XD.

no way 8-9 pounds on a stock motor.....maybe with some forged pistons and head work. No idea on the deck height of the 3.7 though

for sure w/ some pistons and a port/polish job Id think its attainable but who knows. Connecting rods are pretty solid, forged powder metal apparently and the stock heads are aluminum to boot. Not sure about the valves/springs, probably not worth the $ for anyone interested. I for sure am not spending another dime on performance for this 3.7 lol, lost cause . . .
