Lowered, riding on front Bump stops?????!!!

I developed an insanely loud squeak on the front driver side spring the last month after riding on Eibach's for almost a year now. Today, I finally had the time to jack it up and try to find it. I cleaned the springs & isolators and then hit them with silicon followed by white lithium grease on the coils themselves and on the underside of the front bump stop. I was able to pop the bump stop down and apply white grease to the top of the stop. I did this on both sides.

After lowering the vehicle back down, the squeak thankfully went away. I looked under there one more time and noticed the lithium grease I applied to the top and bottom of the bump stops squirted out. It looks like the shock has compressed all the way down to the point where the vehicle is literally riding on the stop itself. This would explain the squeak I had. I did not cut the front stop during installation, only the rears.

I will be cutting the stop today when I get home from work. Jacking the vehicle up opens the springs enough to get cutting access to it...........

Hmm, I never thought of that. I remember a slight squeak every now and then since the day I lowered it. Until yesterdays "fix", it squeaked all the damn time for the last 30 days.
