Just back from the panel shop and I am liking the looks much better now the black skirts are gone.

They were even kind enough to change the grill mesh out for me while they had the front bumper...

Oh, and when measuring ride height, it eliminates tyre variables if you measure from the bottom lip of the rim to the underside of the guard.

Agreed, thats why I was thinking of raising the front a fraction to reduce the amount needed to lower the rear, hence leveling the car out and retaining as much ground clearance as possible.

Just seems strange, (considering the kit is not exactly cheap) if the front is not actually suitable to replace the originals?

Mine sits roughly at the following (wheel arch to top of tire)...

I got the links installed today and I am pleased overall with the look and the ride post install. I've finally gotten rid of that annoying factory rear rake! The Fenders are just about dead even now...
