Re: Frozen Power Liftgate becoming a pain in the a$$...it's embarassing!

Sure the dealer will fix it. The problem is finding time to waste going there in the first place, waiting for parts, return visits... ... Hell, I already had to go there when I noticed the passenger...

Mine is stuck closed and its not even cold here. It wont open at all anymore. The one time I was able to open/close it manually I had to use alot of force.

Beeps twice, does nothing. 80 degrees out. You have no idea how much this pisses me off.

36 psi cold.

PS I already curbed a rim, just a little. Perfect excuse to have them painted black later.

Re: 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L Pentastar V6 BLOWN-UP ENGINE!

Ok, I'm no mechanic and don't even change my own oil but... I don't see a broken connecting rod in any of those pictures. All I see looks like a piece of engine block broke off one of the lower...

Re: Door molding GONE!! Pics

Mine -same color- came without the molding on the passenger side. The dealer took care of that though. I think it looks better with it than without it, but thats your jeep not mine.

Re: test drive v6

Those are crank numbers so its not "putting that down", so to speak, and the transmissions are irrelevant really. As far as ecoboost is concerned... ::yawn:: wake me up when Ford straps the turbos on...

Re: Getting cold feet....

I came from a 2004 2dr g35 manual 6spd. High performance... Not really. Do I miss it? Barely, if ever. Maybe if I had a real high perf vehicle I would.

Re: Official 0-60mph numbers?

From what I remember (test drove v6) the V8 really outshines the V6 once things get moving. Even on 87 octane, cause thats all the hemi gets from me.

Update: dealer cleaned the car and installed the missing passenger-side moldings. No charge to me. I averaged 21.3mpg for the 150 mile highway trip, reaching 23 before I planted my foot a few times....

Re: Why would anyone buy the Limited?

If you can live without the HIDs, rain sensing wipers -nicer than I thought-, and access to the power liftgate and whatnot then yes. Is the laredo X cargo area trimmed just like the regular laredo?

Re: Why would anyone buy the Limited?

My limited has a heated steering wheel. I believe its part of the vented seats package. I rarely see temperatures below 80F though. I wish they made a hot weather package.

Re: Why would anyone buy the Limited?

Because I couldnt find a dealer that had one. I found a dealer that had a limited with a hemi, vented seats, 20" wheels, nav and backseat tv.

Re: Something fishy with my jeep.

I'm not a fan of chrome and I thought of simply removing the driver side molding, but I think it looks better with it.

A missing piece of chrome is not as noticeable on a silver car I guess. They may have been drunk at the factory, or high. Or both. Who knows.

I plan to have my front windows and windshield tinted this weekend. Where is the auto high-beam sensor. I would like to tell the installer to work around it. Is there anything else to look out for?...
