Re: Looking at 2006 WK

Look at the bushings in the front suspension, especially the rear one on the lower A-arm. Also listen and feel for any harshness shifting from reverse to drive, thats probably front diff bushings. ...

Re: Engine Break-In

I don't really get gentle break-in periods... Whats the first thing performance engines do after being assembled? Get on a dyno and show what they've got.

Seems to me if you want rings to seat...

Re: Amateur doing caliper paint and rotor change out. Should I attempt?

Brakes are a good place to learn mechanical skills. Scottina06 has a good how-to on brakes.

If you want the paint to last it will be best to scuff the calipers and/or prime them so the new paint...

Re: Audio Uprade Sugestions?

Your factory speakers, as crappy as they may be, are run by an amp. You can replace the speakers. However, if you want an aftermarket deck, do yourself a favor and replace everything. The factory...

Re: Approaching 90K...when to throw in the towel?

Holy cow i've had new cars that burned more oil than that.

Really though, for daily drivers I usually buy stuff with 100-140k that has already had the first round of break-in repairs done. You...

Re: A/c leak causes o2 sensor failure

Yeah what threw me was that it was just one of the pre-cat sensors that threw a code, and that sensor was also the one soaked in evaporator barf. False cause and effect I guess.

Re: extensive cranking on strart up 2005 Grand Cherokee 4.7l

Kinda sounds like a fuel issue.

Anyone know if its possible for the fuel system on these to lose its prime? I had an f-body that did this after I ran it out of fuel once. It was a liquid-cooled...

Re: A/c leak causes o2 sensor failure

It took a couple rounds of clearing the code, but it hasn't come back in the last 75mi.

See I'm used to GM where the light meant failure, not "drive it harder and it'll go away". Lol
