Spring Road Trip in a TrailHawk

First road trip of distance in the TrailHawk. Nothing but a good ride. This was in a 2015 TrailHawk and I was very pleased with the vehicle. I'm coming into this vehicle from a 2011 Grand Cherokee...

Re: What's behind this center console panel?

Wish that video had a close up of what's behind the panel. But, at least it shows that the panel is removable. Looks like quite a bit of wiring and duct work back there.

Re: What's behind this center console panel?

Thanks. I need to change that. I had a 2011 WK2 and the wife had a 2012 Liberty. We both have 2015 and 2014 TrailHawks now.

What's behind this center console panel?

53346

Anyone know what's behind this panel in the attached picture? It looks removable almost.

Also looks like it would be a good place for a slim profile CB radio.

2014 Cherokee KL Rock Rails

No kidding on the oil and low RPMs. I just installed the RRO rock rails on a 2014 Trailhawk. Not a complex install, but, the instructions to drill through that pinch is not the best advice. I...

Re: WK2 Trip - San Juan Mountains

There are some steepish portions of that road the last mile, but mostly 2WD. There is a nice little rock outcrop covering half the road 1/8 of mile or so from the top. See my post #51 on this...

Re: WK2 Trip - San Juan Mountains

It's been a few years since that incident with Hertz but it seems like those agencies seem to consider crossovers to be like SUVs. I'd be a little leery of any vehicle that doesn't have 4Lo gearing....

Re: WK2 Trip - San Juan Mountains

Depends on what your rental company considers a mid size SUV. I reserved just that description of a vehicle from Hertz and got a something like a PT Cruiser! I was like, WTF? Even came complete...

Re: WK2 Trip - San Juan Mountains

My favorites in terms of fun, scenic, minimal chance of damage except maybe a skid plate:

1. Imogene Pass - From Ouray to Telluride. Prettier on the Ouray side, steeper. I also like to hit...

Re: WK2 Trip - San Juan Mountains

Sorry, have not been on here in a while, but I agree with Denis4x4's response. I have seen WK2s do Blackbear on another board, but have not done it myself. That initial approach down The Steps...

Re: WK2 Trip - San Juan Mountains

Those are Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2 tires. P265/60R18. They have 24,000 miles on them now. They've been pretty good both on and off road, not a very aggressive tread pattern so they have been...

Re: My little trip to Ouray in the new Jeep over the long weekend.

Fantastic pictures and a great choice in trails. We were there in mid June or so but couldn't reach Imogene Pass itself due to snow. Always love that view of Black Bear Pass from Imogene in Telluride...

Re: 2011 WK2 Summit: Hill Decent

:) Maybe the 2012's have some sort of newtonian dampening system that changes the apparent mass of the vehicle that the 2011's didn't have.

Mine seems to be impacted by gravity well enough. ...

Re: 2011 WK2 Summit: Hill Decent

Re: WK2 Hemi vs V6 MPG Compilation (results inside)
