This really tics me off, the service manager either doesn't know his Jeeps or he doesn't want to be bothered with someone with the older models. My wife and I choose to drive the older cars because...

Re: 11.0 mpg ?!!

Okay I took my jeep to the dealership today to see about TSB 18-025-01 for my 2000 JGC Limited. I was told this TSB would not improve my gas mileage or give the tranny a 5th gear, this is contrary to...

Re: Info on TSB 18-025-01

I need to find out if this has been done on my 2000 JGC. I think the RPM's are a bit higher than my deceased 02. If it has not, it would boost my MPG's and take some stress off the engine in day to...

Info on TSB 18-025-01

Ran across this TSB for 1999 and 2000 JGC TCM's. From what I read it solves hard shift issues and will effectively change the 4 speed into a 5 speed trany reducing engine RPM's about 400 to 500 RPM's.

Re: Thermostat replaced

No gasket other than the rubber on the thermostat, looks to me a thick gasket would hold the housing off of the rubber seal on the stat and cause or at least increase the potential of leakage.
