Re: WK2 DownUnder

We are all here to help each other, but when you ask questions without providing much info or details, then ignore advice, by claiming you are an expert, it does piss off people.

You need to learn...

Re: How to: install Phillips Ultinon LED fog light bulbs from XenonDepot

Thanks Scott for the writeup.
I was hoping that there was a way to get the rivets out without destroying them, as I cannot get the rivet gun in AU. I will order one to be delivered to my hotel when...

Re: Export SRT Headlight Part Numbers

While you may be able to aim them down, it will not have the proper beam spread, if you compare them to the LHD version.
I would not risk it, as the spread pattern is very different between LHD and...

Re: WK2 DownUnder

That area is for the Quadra-Lift electronics.
Non QL cars do not have anything in that area.

Re: Export SRT Headlight Part Numbers

I would stick to LHD, as the beam pattern are designed to throw the light the same as your non export models. a RHD headlight set will dazzle oncoming cars, as it is not designed for the wrong side...

Re: Nil warranty on leaking front strut post-lift

I think that Jeep do have a good enough reason to deny the claim. By raising the vehicle, you are making the OEM components operate in a way they are not designed for.
As others have said, I would...

Re: Headlights....

All Export models also have the HID headlights.
They do it to reduce the amount of options and local compliance requirements.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Scott,
Got any tips on fitting the globes ? I have some LED's that I want to fit.
From what I can see you need to pull the inner fender liners off to get access.

Re: WK Grand Cherokee seat backs

What are you going to use the car for ?
I would not want soft backs with kids in baby/booster seats.

Re: What do people upgrade to from the SRT Jeep?

In Australia, you could get 2.5 SRT's (80k) for a ML63(180k), nearly 3 for a Turbo Caynne (220k).
Anyone getting out of a SRT in AU, you would be hard pressed getting into anything in comparison...

Re: Sydney SRT Club

It would be a Wednesday at WSID (http://www.sydneydragway.com.au/events/) (Eastern Creek), you get there at 5pm, go through screwtineering then have about 5-10 runs depending on turnout and weather.

If we get more than 6 of us, we could book a private lane at WSID.
Great to have a few of us as a meetup and fun.

If Chrysler AU did not have the JGC models, they would be nobody. They sell more JGC's than any of the other models as the rest are just rubbish

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

You need to raise up the pitch of the camera, it is pointing too low. It will not reduce the FoV, but will stop the glare and reflection much more.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Great result for the SRT, but I feel that once the motor loosens up, you will be closer to the flat 13. My stock FPV BF Typhoon ran 8 runs of 13.1 when I was last out at WSID.
I plan to go there...

They are big in Russia, because they stage crashes or just jump in front on cars and get hit. There is a law in Russia that if you injure someone, you have to pay them for the rest of their lives.

Re: 6 day Old Jeep Grand Cherokee Accident

Re: Daylight sensor.

I find the lights go on all the time. I never run Auto mode, as it will kill the globe too quickly. With DRL's you do not need them unless it is dark.

Re: 2012 Overland Tranny

If your power window failed for example, they could not say that lack of servicing caused the...

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

I guess if the oil is too high, it could cause the crankshaft to hit the oil and foam it up. This could then cause the Crankcase ventilation valve to release heavier oil vapor to the intake system,...

Re: USB Port

You can buy a USB voltage tester for under $10 from the Interwebs.
As Jasman has said, All USB's put out voltage, but many newer smartphones need above 1amp to charge and Tablets need over 2amps.
