Re: Is there a shelf life on DEF fuid??

I filled mine last June (9.5 months ago) at a truck stop and haven't had any related degradation shelf life problems. I'm at about 5/16 on the DEF tank gauge now.

If you have a truck stop near...

Re: Overland without the air suspension

Unless they changed it for 2015, Offroad 2 gives the air suspension, not luxury 2.

I have a 2014 Limited diesel with Luxury 2, Offroad 1 so I don't have the air suspension.

Any high mileage diesels out there? How many miles do you have?

Got mine in November 2013 and only have 16K on it so my Jeep is still a baby.

I recall a post in a thread somewhere here I think a guy had over 30 or 40K and that was probably over a half year...

Re: Larger tires on 2014GC, but wider in back?

If you want a wider stance you need 20x9 wheels which will have the +35 offset. (or 20x10 +50).

I have 285/50 R 20 tires on Factory Reproduction SRT replica 20x9 +35 offset wheels.

Compared...

Re: First oil change some info and comments

Is the $60 a price from a dealers parts counter? If so you can get them cheaper from an online dealer. many dealers have a parts website with prices well below what they sell for over the counter.

Re: oil sample + 10,000 miles

I wouldn't worry too much about the lower temps on oil life. And any water that condenses after shutdown will be burned off next time you drive - provided the oil gets to operating temp on a long...

Re: Where are all the EcoDiesels hiding?

I certainly don't want to be seen as a tree hugger, but applying a HEMI badge on my diesel would be even worse. For that would imply I was wasting money supplying two unnecessary cylinders with fuel:D
