Re: 5.7L clunky and unrefined

Hmmm - interesting. I use AMSOIL Signature 5-20 and their 25K oil filter.

Well, I guess you could bring the issue up with your dealer SA, and see if they can hear anything out of the ordinary...

Re: 5.7L clunky and unrefined

The unique sound of the Hemi never disappears totally, and you're correct - it does sound sort of like a diesel, especially when new. Have you done your 1st oil change yet? If so, what kind of oil?...

Re: 5.7L clunky and unrefined

How many miles? My 5.7 sounded like yours when new, and gradually smoothed out after awhile. I have about 13K miles on it now, and she sounds very smooth.

Re: AFE Momentum GT CAI - anyone tried it?

Looks good - but I would like to see the option for a dry filter, instead of just an oiled filter.

Re: Longer start time 2013 Hemi WK2

Agreed - but part of the original question was, is this normal, or a developing problem, because when new there was no apparent fuel pressure bleed-off overnight and the engine would start quicker...

Re: 2013 5.7 Hemi High Performance Programmer?

Did any part of your warranty work involve the power-train? If it did, that would have prompted a check for PCM tune alterations I would think. If non power-train warranty work was performed, then...

Re: 5.7L Hemi oil guzzler

This could be causing a lot of over-fill situations for the unaware, and therefore a lot of smokey exhaust concerns for some, and maybe oil usage concerns if overfilling causes excess oil usage ... ??

Re: Oil FIlter Comparison

Yeah - I think, "Setoutguy", may be an anti-AMSOIL troll. Any time someone mentions AMSOIL-anything, he seems to show up debunking it with pretty much the same spiel, IMO.

Re: Diablosport I1000 DCX now supports 2014 5.7

When I ordered the Trinity awhile back, you have to do an update using included software installed on your PC, which will download all the latest tunes from Diablo through a com port to your device.

Re: Hemifevertuning.com using Diablosport Trinity

Yeah - it's difficult to find 4 wheel dyno's, at least around here, and I'm betting that most JGC's are 4WD.
