Re: Best Bike Rack?

No rubbing issues so far, and we usually have 3-4 bikes on there for 300 miles at a time.

Re: Best Bike Rack?

I have the Thule Ridgeline/954. Absolutely rock solid. Nice tilt away feature for opening up the hatch. Good cradles to keep bikes from swaying. integrated locking cable, and locking hitch pin.

I'm thinking of going with Nitto Crosstek CUV tires. Just under $200 at NTB and they always have deals going on.

Just hit 16K, had zero issues until this week. It's at the dealer right now. Had a check engine light come on, and it was sucking down tons of gas. Apparently they found that the valve cover...

Re: Out of service for a week

Initial report is a faulty valve cover gasket... oil then got onto the O2 sensor, causing a misread, leading the engine to run rich.

They're taking it apart to replace the gasket and I should...

Re: Yakima FatCat 6 ski/board carrier

With the FatCat system, they have a built in pivot so you can mount one side higher to giver more clearance for the bindings of the boards that are upside down.

I do 5 hour trips back and forth between Chicago and Detroit pretty frequently in my Overland V6, and I've found the seats to be amazingly comfortable. Never had any aches or issues.

Re: Any one recommend a good trailer hitch bike rack?

I recently picked up the Thule Ridgeline when it was 20% off at REI. Very solid unit and had the bikes on driving up to 80-85 mph with no sway issues.

Re: Drive away with no key

Our Lexus, like the Jeep, and my prior Infiniti were all the same, you can drive away if the car is already running. You just won't be able to re-start once you turn it off.

Re: sun visor - retention clip very loose?

I notice this as well. In most cars i usually use my right hand and pivot it back up, but in the jeep it causes it to pop out and then can obstruct my view briefly. Pretty annoying.
