Re: '14 SRT, Front Suspension Collapsed?

I can't see pics on my phone, but Eibachs are not OEM. On the other hand, I have a set of OEM springs and can run your VIN through the dealer site. I'm in Chicago too, NW side

Re: Blind spot beep

You will only hear it beep if you start moving in that direction and it senses something there. It doesn't beep everytime it detects something

Re: Has anyone Added SRT DRL Led's to their Limited/Overlands/Summit?

You can use wiring similar to kit for the SRT to turn the ribbon on with the DRL. You can tap those LED's into the wiring that goes into the headlight.

Re: R40 recall

I was never a fan of the audio quality, so I never listen to it and won't renew it.

Re: Overland vs SRT suspension, which is better?

Get a set of SRT springs and the sway bars, it'll help. If you have quadra-lift, you're screwed. :)

Re: Darken Headlights

I could never understand why you'd want to tint your headlight lenses and reduce light output. I'm sure it also shortens the lifespan of the bulb as it'll trap more heat inside the housing.

Re: Tune

HP tuners and I think Livernois are already offering tuning for a '15. In either case, you need to either send them your PCM to unlock or buy a new PCM to send to them to unlock. Once done, you can...

Re: SRT bonnet

The only issues I've heard of is when mounting it on a diesel, there's a tank or something that gets in the way. If you have a 3.6 or 5.7, don't see an issue at all.

Re: Anyone fitted an 11 inch rim on a GC SRT?

Depending on offset, might fit. There isn't much room behind the wheel before you'll start hitting suspension stuff. 10.5 or 11 will definitely not work on the front.

Re: Newer audio options?

Can replace the headunit, so you're looking at something to sum the channels (RF 3sixty, bitone, etc.) and then from the amp you could tap into the speaker wires after the factory amp. Nothing easy...

Re: Stranded on highway due to overheating in 2011 JGC Overland

I don't know the torque spec off hand, but I've always just snugged them up and no issues.

Re: Stranded on highway due to overheating in 2011 JGC Overland

If you get the Mopar or the straight Zerex, yuou'll need to mix. Zerex also sells the G-05 pre-mixed.
I wouldn't worry about the fill tube. Make sure the overflow has enough coolant, the system...

Re: Good dealer in NY /NJ area for invoice price on srt

SRT usually isn't covered on most of those. Might try and see if you can get a number from an FCA employee. I've heard those work on SRTs as well.
Good luck!

Re: Stranded on highway due to overheating in 2011 JGC Overland

Stock tstat is 203F
If you change to a 180F tstat, you need to change the fan settings to get the most benefit.
For coolant, either Mopar or Zerex G-05 is what I've always used.

Re: Stranded on highway due to overheating in 2011 JGC Overland

Sounds like it could be a tstat gone bad. Not much Jeep is going to do, it's a wear item. Granted it shouldn't be dead after 4 years, but it isn't uncommon.
Also, if you have a 5.7, be careful as...

Re: Squeeky brakes?

TSB is not mileage dependent and with your mileage, I would call Jeep customer service if the dealer doesn't want to cover it.

Re: Disable MDS, cheapest solution

The Jeep does not have a button to shut MDS off. You can turn ECO mode off, but MDS is always active unless you're in sport mode or manually shifting via the paddles

You'd need the microphones and the harnesses for them

Tap wires in the PCM.

2014's don't have Active Noise Cancellation. It's a new feature starting in '15. They removed the valves from the exhaust and are using the ANC to make MDS mode sound better.

You can most definitely swap the fronts without a spring compressor. There isn't any tension on the spring.
