Re: Uconnect update 3/26/15

If you are having issues downloading the update after you have downloaded and installed the Akamai manager, the issue is most likely your browser settings. There is a link for FAQ on one of the...

Re: Real World MPG

I used to have a 2011 5.7 Overland, just traded it in on a 2015 SRT, and had concerns that my mpg was going punish me. The 2011 was averaging 15.7 mpg for me and the 2015 SRT has been consistently...

UConnect 8.4AN

I have a 2015 SRT with the 8.4AN and Harman Kardon radio system with the latest software update and was wondering if anyone else has heard the sound system "pop" when the car and radio is off? The...

Re: Downsides to LockPick

My biggest complaint about it is that it washed out the video from the backup cam considerably. It might have been the unit I had, as it died about two months after installation and decided I...

Re: Installing real wood dash.. Removing faux wood

The wood trim piece comes out by itself. The small chrome strip below the wood portion, is welded to the wood piece. I just had it all apart this last weekend.

Re: Installing real wood dash.. Removing faux wood

Maybe I missed something, but the area where the leather is, seemed to have it's connections points to the door panel melted together and not screwed together. To replace that would be very...

Re: Installing real wood dash.. Removing faux wood

I just covered my trim with a CF vinyl and while I had it off, took a good look at the trim. I don't see how they can charge $2100 for all of it, unless you are getting new door panels too! I have...

Re: DIY: Interior Beltline Trim Removal / Wrap

I took this to the next level by taking the chrome piece off. I used a Dremel to carefully cut the melted plastic joints loose. I cut just enough to release the pieces, yet retain the locating...

Re: Volant question

I just finished a little experiment with the Volant. I tracked my mpg over three days before the install and then over three days after. I took the same stretch of 40 mile road, with the outside...

ABS/Traction Control while turning???

I have been noticing more frequently a feeling that seem like the ABS is kicking in on the innermost rear wheel when making tight turns, such as turning onto a road from a dead stop. I am pretty...

Re: Volant CAI

I agree with all your points, gokart. I installed mine last night and had the same gripes.
The filter install into air box is much easier if you rotate the hose clamp around to where you can stick...

Re: Copying (adding) music to harddrive getting duplicates

I have a 430N and have had the mp3 version of an album on my unit, then deleted it, and then had the unit copy the album straight from the CD with an unexpected result. The song names and album name...

Re: First Tank MPG (my story), would like to hear yours

You should calculate your mileage manually for your trip if you want the true MPG. I have noticed that the computer in the Jeep doesn't give you a true average of based on the miles traveled between...

Re: Lockpick V.4 vs. Nav-TV AllGig vs. TVandNav2Go MyGig Unlock V2

I bought a Lockpick V.4 back in May off eBay. Was very disappointed in the video quality of the backup camera as the display was very washed out compared to stock. Everything else worked as...

Re: Bought a grille to color match

I don't know if this will actually work on the grille, but with chromed plastic model pieces, bleach will break the chrome off much like a chemical paint stripper will do with painted metal. The...

Re: WK2 Rock Rail Install Pics.

I just received a set of these yesterday and the weight of the package was 92lbs. There was not much packing material at all and was surprised to see them survive the trip.

Re: Summit Edition Wood Trim

I have seen NIB replacement steering wheels for the 2011 Overland for sale on ebay and they are factory parts for around $250. I have yet to see the Summit wheel for sale but would think it would be...

Re: Best practices for loading music on 430n HDD?

The only way to get the album art to show (at least at this point) is to rip the original CD into the radio directly. If the CD is in the Gracenote DB it will show.

Re: Album Art for 430N

Album art only shows up if you rip the CD and it is found in the Gracenote DB. At least this is my experience with my 430N.
I have been trying to figure out how to upload art with my MP3's, but...
