Re: Does Anyone Else Hate The USB Port, SD Slot and Cig Plugs Location?

I don't like that it only has one 12v plug in the dash. The SD card is difficult to get in/out. I have to use the back of my index finger and middle finger to insert/eject. I use a duel adapter to...

Re: Holy smacks! My JGC just moved itself out of the driveway

I hope the phrase "holy smacks" doesn't catch on. I've never actually heard anyone say this. Gotta go, my Jeep is sliding down the driveway. (emergency brake on, transmission in park, huge rock...

Re: husky mud guards on 2014?

Installed mine today. I managed to make a major production out of the install. There were no screws but rather those plastic push pins that are made to go in and never come out. It's impossible to...

Re: husky mud guards on 2014?

How do these install? Did you have to take the wheels off? Do they use existing holes/screws or did you have to drill? Where did you buy them?

Re: R18 Spare Tire with R20 Tires Installed

You're right, I guess I'll have to take a wheel off and try it myself. First I'll wait until the weather gets above freezing.

Re: R18 Spare Tire with R20 Tires Installed

Thank you for the picture and explaination. I notice you have a 2013. I wonder if the spare tire area is the same size on a 2014. I've heard conflicting versions of whether or not a full size spare...

Re: R18 Spare Tire with R20 Tires Installed

I want to fit a 265/50r 20 in the spare tire area. I'm not sure what you mean by reversing the trim. Do you have pics of how to do that or an explanation or how it's done? Also what do you mean by...

Re: center console questions

I keep a Garmin GPS in the top compartment when not in use. A snub nosed .38 revolver also fits in there rather nicely.

Re: Rear Wiper Lift Out Of Way?

I'm embarrassed to say I read the manual and already knew about the pivot cap. Us guys are supposed to leave the manual in the glovebox where it belongs and figure out all this stuff on our own. Or...

Re: 2400 miles long roadtrip on brand new 2014? Possible???

Re: JGC RWD vs 4WD?

I buy Jeeps specifically because their 4 wheel drive systems are the best in the world. I didn't buy one for gas milage or to putz around town. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I have 4...

Re: GC For hunting

I take my 96 Cherokee for hunting and fishing. It's like a little tank and we'll go places a pickup truck won't fit. My 14 grand is way too pretty to get all scratched up out in the woods.

Only 8500 miles? You should get out and drive it more often. Jeeps don't like to sit around in the garage.

Re: Road trip preparedness

37 hours is a real trip. 5 or 6 hours is just a drive down the road. Might have to stop once for a head call but that's about it. If you're concerned about MPGs I would recommend 65 miles per hour.
