Re: BOOM! New Wheels & Rubber 2014 Overland

Looks like it's an Overland with QL in park mode. So you can't level.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

Following up on what Pinetar stated:

My dealer said they would do it, I asked how much $400 estimate, LOL. That's defiinitely pricey.

Funny thing I called a very respected 4x4 shop who said...

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

Sounds good. That's about the same OD as the 275/55/20, but with ALOT more rubber of course. Should be a nice setup for anything that comes your way.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

LOL, your definitely right. I keep talking myself into each scenerio (18s or stick with 20s), but I'm going to get the leveling kit first since that will go with either situation. What size...

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

O.K. from the pic it looks like there's more room there than many other setups I've seen wit the 275s. I keep going back and forth between 275s and the leveling kit or just going to 18s rims with...

Nice before and after pics in the other thread

In the 2nd pic is that just the 275 duratracs on stock suspension? Did you have any rubbing?

Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 for Summit?

This was my original question to people running stock size.

So I'm not sure what your point is? I was asking people who have the stock size if they are taller and wider and you bring out the...

Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 for Summit?

This is what Nitto says:

"Terra Grappler G2 265/50R20 111S = Overall Diameter 30.47/ Overall Width 10.91
Original Terra Grappler 265/50R20 111S = Overall Diameter 30.51 / Overall Width 10.75...

Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 for Summit?

From what I can tell different brands run taller/shorter wider/thinner then other brand within the same size category. For example it looks like the G2s are running at least wider then the NTG...

Re: Leveling kits & Lift kit specific measurements on your ride, please.

From what I understand that makes sense. The rake is there with the 2.5" lift, it wouldn't be level lke yours

Re: "I don't know how to drive in snow/ice, so I blame my GC" Part Deux

That's pretty much my point. I agree with you guys about the gas mileage, weight, etc. concerns, but the OPs Jeep has the ORA option. Whether it's ORAI or ORAII shouldn't matter.

Your right...

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

Most leases allow you to extend month by month many times up to 6 months beyond the leases original length. I'd be really surprised if that wasn't the case here.

Re: "I don't know how to drive in snow/ice, so I blame my GC" Part Deux

I still say it's the Achilles heel of the GC, the stock tires. It shouldn't take an off-road course or a snow driving certificate to know how to drive on snow.

Re: "I don't know how to drive in snow/ice, so I blame my GC" Part Deux

Whether it has QD2 or not, the QD2 itself doesn't make the GC trail-rated. What makes a GC trail-rated is simply 18" wheels, tow-hooks and skid plates. Maybe the badge fell off. It looks like he...

Re: "I don't know how to drive in snow/ice, so I blame my GC" Part Deux

Actually I don't think that's true. Off-Road Adventure 1 is QT2 and you get the badge.

Re: "I don't know how to drive in snow/ice, so I blame my GC" Part Deux

Re: "I don't know how to drive in snow/ice, so I blame my GC" Part Deux

I think part of the reason you see these videos and nasty posts about Jeep is because the car is positioned as an off-road and/or snow vehicle to separate it from the competition. Many buyers aren't...

Re: Full size spare is not "right" size spare

+1

Remember the Jeep is marketed as a go anywhere/adventure type vehicle, why should any of them have a donut or a half-ass full size.

Re: Full size spare is not "right" size spare

I think the issue really is that people (myself included) assume when it size 'full size' that most think it's the same size as the others (and Jeep knows this) and when they find out it's not it's a...

Re: What to buy with my 'Customer Appreciation Certificate'?

I got one of those too, mine lasted a week.

Three GCs and one broken key chain. It shouldn't be that difficult to get those credits into all qualified hands.

Re: Bike transport inside jeep

Thanks much for the info. The 1UP looks really good. I currently have a yakima for the hitch that holds 4 bikes, but is a pain. So if I'm by myself would be interested in the inside mount.

Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 for Summit?

You guys running the G2s in stock size (265/50/20) I know it's technically the same size as the Forteras, but is the G2 a little taller and wider. It seems like they are making the G2s larger.

Re: Overland w standard 20s or 18s?

Do you know if Jeep Jamboree requires skid plates? I'm assuming you need recovery points front/back.
