Re: RO1 Recall

Does anyone know whether Jeep has said definitively that failure to implement RO1 ( meaning failure to address durability issues ) will invalidate the warranty? I have not had ours done yet because...

Re: Front End Collision Question on Trailhawk

I'm sorry to hear of the collision damage to your new Jeep. I can't answer your question but I do have one for you. Did not the collision avoidance system on the Jeep come into play? At all? We see...

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

That's much the same as over here ( where your Longitude is called Latitude). The main difference is the Trailhawk is not offered with HIDs and our Limited has them but only by specifying the Luxury...

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Hi there, Flattop. Thanks for your note and confirmation that you do indeed have "rear fog lights". I should explain that, in the UK at least, they are also known as "high intensity rear lights"...

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Thanks, Marty and G'day to you too. I was only asking about the lights out of interest as I've already gone down the other route using diodes. I'm an ex-pat Brit and I know that rear fog lights are...

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

A question from the States: Are those lamps set in the lower rear fascia fog lamps or merely reflectors as they are over here. If they are, it would have saved me some effort by fitting those...

Re: Tow Hooks on non TH?

Our limited has the pop out but there is no female threaded socket for the tow eye to be screwed into. Just a large hole which goes clear through the bumper bar. Unlike our Genesis which does have...

Re: Tow Group - Standard or Accessory & Does it change the way it drives ?

Actually, I meant the lower final drive gear. The numerically higher ratio = lower gear. Sorry about the semantics.

Re: Tow Group - Standard or Accessory & Does it change the way it drives ?

Understood. However, whilst the lower final drive will help on launch and getting up to speed, it's probably not necessary at cruise. So, it's possible that the shift point mapping on tow package...

The rivets you need are available at Autozone, sold in packets of two. Demco actually provided a full set with their kit of parts.

Flat towing behind an RV

Hi. I installed the Demco base plate set a month or so ago. The only hassle I had was removing the fascia. The secret is the tabs attaching it at the rear to the fender require an outward pull -...

Re: Why would we want headlight washers and cool fascia?

I'm an ex -pat Brit and IIRC headlamp washers are a legal requirement in the old country. Some higher spec cars also include headlamp wipers.

Blue Ox Baseplate for Trailhawk

That's very interesting - it might do the job. Please let us know what you think of the kit. I wonder, though, if that could be improved by using a constant 12v from the coach to operate the cut-out...

Re: Blue Ox Baseplate for Trailhawk

I do like your idea of providing that 12v feed to the supplementary brake from the coach rather than the Jeep's battery. However, I notice that both you and Array are fitting a breakaway switch,...

Re: Blue Ox Baseplate for Trailhawk

The RViBrake2 seems to operate in a very similar fashion to the one you are fitting. It sits on the floor, hooks up to the brake pedal and a 12v socket. It relies on inertia detection from the coach...
