Re: Auto A/C Problems and Frustrations

My early build 14 Summit does wait to partially warm up (when in Auto) before the fans go to a high speed. I have the 3.6 engine but wouldn't expect this parameter to be different.

Re: For those of you that have replaced the battery

I think it does vary a good bit based on the postings. A few months ago, I went to Sears to replace the Diehard in my 96 Cherokee. I didn't realize how long it was in there, but after checking my...

Re: Different Tire PSI Recommendation 2014 vs. 2015

I agree and have always kept tire pressures a couple psi over recommended. I believe that the longer tread life is due to overall less squirm, less flexing, and the resultant lower heat buildup as...

Re: Dual Pane sunroof and sunshade questions

14 Summit is lit. I bet there is a wiring issue. I don't think it is a Summit exclusive.

Re: Heated steering wheel not working

My 14 Summit heated wheel works in my opinion perfect. I have commented to many that they got the programming just right. It heats up quickly when very cold and seems to adjust perfectly as the...

Re: HELP! New Replacement Leather Dash but wrong one!?!

I took a picture of mine but with bad lighting; likely good enough to see the texture type. I then took a picture if the leather around the door arm rest. Different type on the Summit door than the...

Re: HELP! New Replacement Leather Dash but wrong one!?!

My 14 Summit has the "textured" leather for the dash and the smoother type leather for the door arm rests and associated leather around them. The top door leather is like the dash. I say this as it...

Re: Aero mode even with ECO off?

Aero mode occurs at a different speed in ECO and ECO Off for a 2014. With ECO ON, it goes into aero at 50mph after about 20 sustained seconds at 50 or above. I think at 56 or higher, it goes right...

Re: HVAC (AC) after hard acceleration

Not sure about the time but if the air coming out of the vents gradually increases, it is likely due to the ice melting. If it changes instantly, something else is going on.

Re: HVAC (AC) after hard acceleration

Sounds like your A/C compressor is freezing up. The ice then blocks airflow. If you turn A/C off the ice starts to melt and when you run the fan airflow speeds up.
