Re: CRD oil on special

No problem at all, even with the old oils. 20L will give only two and a bit oil changes anyway.

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Bill,

Thanks for the pic. However, without the bumper cover to support the felt fender lining, what's stopping it being dragged against the wheel at highway speeds or during water crossings?

Re: CRD oil on special

Further to my post above. it seems we may never know what MS-11106 actually is, see Chrysler MS-11106 vs MB-229.51 the same spec? | European and Import Motor Oils | Bob Is The Oil Guy...

Re: CRD oil on special

Havoline Fully Synthetic C3 5W-30 ticks all the boxes except Chrysler MS-11106. I'd be perfectly happy to use it if it was difficult to get Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W-30.

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Ditto!

With that, I think I might find myself not worrying about the air dam at all.

For better aerodynamics on long fast highways, I was thinking of an SRT like splitter fixed to the underside...

Re: Cetane ratings

This is weard. I have little trouble downloading the Technical data Sheets (TDS) from Australian oil marketers but not from the US. It's like cetane number (CN) is a big secret. This is what I got...

Re: Cetane ratings

Unless the manufacturer can show you data that proves the additive is totally ashless I wouldn't be putting it anywhere near a DPF. They may claim their product is DPF safe but I bet they have no...

Re: Cetane ratings

Cetane numbers (CN) are on the technical data sheets (TDS) for the particular fuel. With a bit of digging, these can be found on the manufacturers' web sites. Here in Oz they range from 46 to 52. ...

Actually I was serious, not about the roos but the logo. I'm thinking of what Uneek4x4 has done on their bash plates but an escutcheon plate will be fine too.
