Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

The oils in Europe are different because the fuel is different.

The difference in full synthetic 5w vs full synthetic 0w for cranking cold is pretty small, unless you live at the north pole. So...

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

Chrylser MS-6395 is many specifications.
There is seperate requirments for 0w-20 and 5w-20

Just because it meets MS-6395 does not mean it's the correct oil.

0w-20 is probably fine but may void...

Re: Auto high beams question

Yes, and with rain sense wipers those come on automatically as well. Which trigger the Automatic headlights, which trigger the automatic highbeam.

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

As does Prius, I would expect these start/stop engines to move towards Electric A/C, Electric Assisted Steering etc. My wifes 2011 VW CC (Gas) has Electric Steering (which has been flawless). That...

Re: 2015 Overland or Altitude?

Bought Both a limited 2014 (ordered) and Overland 2015 were completely stress free, two different dealers.
Both around 4% below invoice. Never even haggled. I just use cars.com to find them and...

Re: Asking for help on how to not get ripped off.

$507/mo rent for a Limited is rediculous.
Why people think it's easier to get out of a vehicle with a lease is beyond me.
It's WORSE, you are locked in for 3 years.

If it looks to expensive to...

Good point. I wasn't aware of differences on the rails themselves.
Keep in mind that with something like a Kayak, the Wind is probably WAY more of a factor than it's weight. The downward or upward...

Re: $50k+ is a lot of money for a new vehicle...

You said it right above.

You said I can pay $50K cash with 1/11 of our take home pay.

The math is really tricky here.

11 * $50K = $550K TAKE HOME PAY.

Take home means, after taxes.

Re: First Issue - No Sound

I doubt it will work, but I'd try a factory reset before driving 65 miles.
Note you will lose all settings if you factory reset it.

Might be a separate fuse for the amp too.

Re: Blackstone Oil Analysis Report on Factory Fill Oil 2014 Pentastar V6 with 6000 Mi

131K, that was just broken in. My 2002 4.0L GC had 227K and my service guy had 300K on his 4.0L. It's keeping the rest of the Jeep together that's usually the limiting factor :)

Blackstone Oil Analysis Report on Factory Fill Oil 2014 Pentastar V6 with 6000 Miles

Note that the designated oil from the factory on the form is wrong, I spaced out when I filled it in. It's probably 5W-20 Organic oil. It had no impact on the report.

I filled it with Castrol...

Re: JGC RWD vs 4WD?

Audi makes fantastic AWD systems. If I was concerned about safety only I'd be in an Audi. I've not owned a Subaru but I've heard some pretty positive things about them. I sure Land Rover does too.
