Yes, the procedures are detailed in the owners manual.
Now with that said when you get your Hawk the manual will be the abbreviated one. There is a DVD that is included that has the full version....

The updates that are for your Cherokee are the ones assigned to your VIN by FCA.
The updates that one Cherokee gets are not necessarily the one(s) your Cherokee should/will get even if they fall...
