Re: 2012 WK2 3.6 - 43k miles - Developed a rough idle

Check for a P030x code. Particularly a 300, 302, or 304.

Re: Ran out of Battery and get it towed to the dealership.

Think it is around $170 from Sam's, just an H7 AGM AFAIR. I have been using little HF float chargers for years, too small (about 80ma) to damage anything so far.

Re: Weight Distribution Hitch for 4x4 Hemi with Quadralift pulling 3,200 lb trailer?

Interesting. That exact same warning box with "mandatory" appears on page 561 of the '14 Cherokee (not Grand) OM but later in my OM where talking specifically about the GC (and not class I and II...

Re: Weight Distribution Hitch for 4x4 Hemi with Quadralift pulling 3,200 lb trailer?

One piece of information you did not provide: is this a single axle or tandem axle trailer ?

If a single axle, the load levelling vs aero will not matter other it may compensate for the tongue...

Re: 2015 JGC Ecodiesel Towing capability

Understand all of that but what I am saying is the if the front gets too light and you would overload the trailer axle by torquing the trailer tongue/hitch (what a WDH really does) you should...

Re: 2015 JGC Ecodiesel Towing capability

Don't forget that just because you have the factory towing package, it meant different things in different years and with different drivetrains. Some (like mine) have no suspension mods at all and it...

Re: 2015 JGC Ecodiesel Towing capability

OK and perhaps I had better explain the reasoning. It is a 4k trailer with a 460 lb tongue. This is with 10 gal of fresh watter and little else.

The trailer was built with a 3.5k axle and I can...

Re: 2015 JGC Ecodiesel Towing capability

Seems to be something of a holy war here but for various reasons (do not want to add any load to the trailer axle) I do not use a WDH and have never felt any need for one.

My trailer is a...

Re: What to buy?

On the one hand 3k rpm sounds unusual but on the other, that is less than half way to redline and is 1800 rpm under the torque peak. The '12 V6 with factory tow package is rated at 5,000 lbs and only...
