Have your mechanic look it over. It could be the oil cooler like I have. It's the faulty gaskets. Big job, mostly labor. Cost to repair from $1500 - $3000 depending where you take it to for the work.

Yes that is correct. I had mine replaced and it's working great. While you're there it's a good time to change the tranny oil as well. Up here the dealers wanted $900 just for the part.

Well, dealer found the tranny fluid level is good, no leak. Reflash the ECU and will monitor it for now. The engine feels a lot smoother.

on the diesel, there's no dipstick to check. however, there is apparently a warning light when it's low....no light yet.
