Re: Renegade

Probably not fair to compare small utes with mpg focus to bruiser HEMIs. That said if the V6 power to weight ratio and handling is good on the Renegade it probably will be fun to drive. Little...

Re: Renegade

I watched the video of the Cherokee AD II on their website. Low range doesn't sound like a mechanical change. It describes the system in Sand/Mud mode, low range as evenly balancing the torque...

Re: 2015 Jeep Renegade

The two most interesting next models for Jeep are the new Wrangler and Wagoneer. If people get excited about Jeeps they aren't going to buy anyway (e.g. Cherokees, Renegades, Patriots et al) then...

Re: All-new 2015 Jeep BU

Yes you can get it with either engine... I short handed my note that started this. What I was alluding to was fuel economy. I do not knock a CH TH V6 fuel economy but it isn't a significant bump...

Re: 2015 Jeep Renegade

Why would the roof panels on the Renegade be any more of an issue than the Freedom Top panels on my 08 JK? (which haven't been an issue since Oct 07)

I like it overall. I hope Jeep kills KIA,...

Re: All-new 2015 Jeep BU

Enjoy your Cherokee TH. Once you see and drive one for real you might have some idea if it would work for you. I have a JK but I do a 40 mile commute. The CH TH was tempting but the 4 cyl seemed...

Re: All-new 2015 Jeep BU

I am a little different I guess. I don't think I need to agree with or like everything Jeep makes. The car market is a large and varied one and they need a variety of vehicles to stay in business.

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

I laughed at that as well but I wasn't commenting on the appeal of the design just that it is functionally different from the other models as opposed to the way the GC has been handled.

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

I like the idea of the GC TH but yeah at mid $40k why not get the GC overland? TH is a niche vehicle and it didn't really have enough attractive appeareance changes. They did a better job of making...

It looks pretty cool overall. I am glad Jeep has it. If it is less money than the mini countryman et al then maybe it will be a hit.
it is mostly aimed at the urban world and that is fine. Jeep...

Re: Wrangler 3.0L CRD in Detroit?

We' d love to have a diesel but here in the good ole USA they are slapping an extra $4500 on the sticker of the GCs... it will just put JKUs in the stratosphere.

Re: Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee & Wrangler Altitude editions revealed

I have not seen a GC with the 8.4 screen that did not have a backup camera. The first time I saw this listed it read "more details to follow"... so maybe there are other options being considered.

Re: Trailhawk tires

You'll drive yourself crazy if you keep checking tire pressure over and over.

If you set them according to the door jam conditions you are fine. They will fluctuate up and down as you use it.

Re: Trailhawk with the penstastar engine.

It would be easy to imagine the V6 not giving up much to the I4 at highway speeds and be safer to drive.
