Can you get at it enough to pop rivet or screw a small hunk of stiffener to it?
A bit of cast iron would be good, as it tends not to resonate much, but I'd suspect just about any bit of heavier...

If your vehicle is moving, the fluid will evaporate, and that can cool it below the freezing point... plus, the first to evaporate would be any alcohols, so if there's enough of it, the remnant water...

There are also teflon or silicone rubber shims you can put behind the pads to help reduce vibration... the silicone rubber ones work better because of their nonlinear hysteresis, but neither is 100%...

Rather than a simple charge can and guage, you might want to pick up an A/C manifold guage and hose set if you plan to maintain this yourself.
A set of gloves and eye protector are a good idea......

If you INSIST on using the shifter paddles, make sure you count the + and - taps, and keep them very close to the same--even if this means you need to spend a few laps around the neighborhood evening...

Quite a few Nokian tires become Norseman models as they are discontinued as Nokians. Norseman is a bit cheaper, and still some of the finest tires available.

Have a hunch that remote start might leave some footprints in the vehicle that it was done... and if the tech had their hands under the hood, might just be construed as being a bit of a hostile...
