Re: pentastar upgrade

I don't know, but personally, I'd prefer port injection over direct.

Re: What to buy with my 'Customer Appreciation Certificate'?

That's exactly what I bought today. I had to kick in $50 to get both sets. They'll be in tomorrow morning.

I didn't do the visor recall, but have done the rest. Original owner.

Re: Pleasant Surprise in Mail Today

I was thinking it was to offset some of the J.D. Powers/CR survey publicity of late.

Anyway, I think I'll put the $150 toward new floor mats. Salt is murder on black mats. Will keep the old ones...

Re: Pleasant Surpise in Mail Today

That's weird. Mine was for "Customer Appreciation". They must appreciate you more.

I guess when I retired from teaching I really...

Pleasant Surpise in Mail Today

Apologies if this was mentioned in another thread, but today I got a letter from Chrysler for a free oil change and a gift cert for $150 on any MOPAR part or accessory. Not bad. :)

Re: Best equalizer settings?

These replies seem odd to me. My May 13 build, '14 Overland sounds lean in the bass with an upper mid-range peak that seems to be there no matter how I set the EQ.

The fact that some of you find...

Re: Synthetic Oil and Your Warranty - Dealer Nonsense

Most people would say I'm throwing money away, but I always change a new engine's oil at 1000 miles. None of my cars burn any oil, even at 100k.

Re: Wind noise ? howling? whistling sound while driving?

My Overland is very quiet, but that might be because I'm used the wind noise in my 05 Trailblazer. It sounds like the window is open at highway speeds.

Quadra Lift Jacking/Alignment Modes

I tried asking this at the MOPAR Connect site. An automated response promising to respond was all I got.

The manual says the engine must be running to enter the Jacking and Wheel Alignment modes....

Re: Should i get my oil changed at the dealer?

Always check their work. Some stores might have good mgt., but a lot of them do not. Mine did not. I was charged for work they claimed to have done but never touched.

They're often called Iffy...

Re: Should i get my oil changed at the dealer?

I'm pretty sure that if the receipt is on the MOPAR letterhead sheet, it's good at any dealer. It surprised me when I got p.o.'d at my dealership and quit going there. The honest dealer I took it to...

Re: Should i get my oil changed at the dealer?

I don't know if they still offer it, but I bought 4 oil changes for $65 at the dealer. It's a MOPAR deal and good at any dealer. I can't change it myself for that much.

I always check their work,...

Re: Zeigler Extended Warranties

I was trying to say they could give the lifetime a transferable end date like the non-lifetime warranties so as not to penalize buyers of the lifetime.

For example, I sell my car at 5yrs or...

Re: Zeigler Extended Warranties

I bought the Maxcare lifetime, but they should make it transferable like the shorter plans... up to the year/mileage of the longest finite plan. It would only be fair and help resale should my plans...

Re: 2014 build quality

'14 Overland, V6. Fit and finish is exemplary. It needed an alignment and wheel balance, but no issues since. May '13 build. Love it.

Re: Nail in tire. Question regarding replacements

Another alternative. Buy two and keep them on the same axle. Just do front to back rotations (no crisscross).

Re: Anyone consider the new 2014 Toyota Highlander?

I notice he hasn't posted for a month. I hope he's OK and just on a break from us OCD Jeep owners.

Re: Blackstone Oil Analysis Report on Factory Fill Oil 2014 Pentastar V6 with 6000 Mi

Re: 2014 Capless Fuel Filler Cap

I'm pretty sure it is related to the length of the metal coil on the pumps's filler spout. It the coil is too long, the spout can't reach deep enough to open the flap inside the neck. It happened to...
