Re: High Rockies/Denver Tire Shop Help

You could try Meadow Creek Tire in Frisco.

As the others have mentioned, I wouldn't recommend cutting lugs. If you end up ever wanting to go back, it will be a very expensive proposition to...

Re: 2015 Overland Body Guard

Sounds like a classic dealer add on. Perhaps a basic clear bra. Have them clarify. No, you do not have to buy this, just like any of the options. If it didn't come from the factory with it and you...

Re: Sales - v6 vs hemi vs diesel?

I would be interested to know how many GC diesel owners are new to turbo diesels, and how many have had others in the past.

Re: Engine Bay Light '13 GC Overland

I think they figure that the silly flashlight thing in the back is what you use if you need a light in the engine compartment.

Nothing to see in here, move along. ;)

Re: Used 2013 vs New 14 or 15

In addition to the eight speed transmission, the '14s and '15s also have the new instrument cluster, new steering wheel and new 8.4" infotainment system. When we shopped for a new Grand Cherokee...

Re: Sales - v6 vs hemi vs diesel?

Well, everyone is going to have their own point of view on this. Here is my general guidelines for which engine suits what use:

V6: General usage, mostly short commutes, minimal towing, usually...

Re: Sales - v6 vs hemi vs diesel?

Oh no, someone is throwing facts out there. I totally agree with this. From my previous with diesels, GM and VW, I have found that I am not a diesel guy. The mileage is great, but the...

Re: Painting Overland mudflaps?

These are the paintable molded mudflaps. Like I said, if it weren't an Overland that has everything painted, they would look fine in black. I put them on one side and the black with _everything_...

Painting Overland mudflaps?

OK, this IS a stupid question. One that I am very hesitant to ask, but has anyone here that has the Mopar Accessory molded mudflaps, which are advertised as "paintable", actually had them painted? ...

Re: Aero mode even with ECO off?

There are a few companies that make systems for playing with late model active suspension systems. KW has one (http://kw-suspension.com/us/kw_dlc.php) that works with many late model vehicles with...

Re: Best Roof Rack system for Grand Cherokee?

Of the ones you list, the MOPAR rack will be the lowest profile, mount to the existing rails and the accessories from everyone else will fit it. They are also relatively cheap. IMO, it is a great...

Re: Aero mode even with ECO off?

Yup, either way you will give up something. Too high at speed also makes for a tippy vehicle. Too low can have you bottoming out and damaging expensive bits. A "mod" that makes your car look cool...

Re: Aero mode even with ECO off?

The way these systems are designed, there are no signals that you can easily manipulate to change ride height outside the programmed parameters without causing problems. In the best case, you end up...

Re: LED DRLs - can we stop the "winking"

Using that logic, maybe it would be better to use hazards instead of the turn signals. With the turn signals only one side is flashing - kind of asymmetrical/dumb looking.

There is a...

Re: LED DRLs - can we stop the "winking"

Re: LED DRLs - can we stop the "winking"

Personally, as someone who has a pet peeve of people not using turn signals, I like the feature. The DRLs are there to make you more visible/noticeable during the day as not just a styling feature,...

Re: Help decide 2014 GC Laredo w/All Weather vs. 2014 GC Limited with Nav

I will second the need for the backup camera. The visibility out the back and quarters on these things is pretty bad. We don't have the blind spot warning system and on most cars I don't see the...

Re: Help me decide. Diesel or HEMI

I would suggest driving all three engine choices. The '14 V6 is as fast or faster than the '11 to '13 Hemi because of the transmission. It is significantly less expensive than the Hemi or Diesel,...

Re: How deep in my Jeep!

The depth at which you kill the vehicle is not easy to determine. Sucking water in the intake will kill it quickly, flooding the electronics will kill it slowly.

I once saw a guy destroy a 3 day...

If that seat were the only imperfection in my GC, I would be elated!. My guess is that "dent" will come out once you leave it out in the sun, or have passengers sit on it for a while.
