Re: HID Headlights pointed up too high?

So true. I still can't believe more complaints haven't been logged about this problem. Actually, I can't believe that this is a problem to begin with - how could Jeep let something so fundamental and...

Re: 2011 Summit Headlights hazing

I'm beginning to notice this as well.

Dealer claimed they inquired to Chrysler and was told not to replace. I have since switch dealers due other nefarious dealings I've had with them. Perhaps...

Re: Air suspension (QL) softness question

Check your tire pressures. Otherwise this would be more of symptom of a problem/annoyance with the dampeners being too soft for your liking or that one or more of the dampeners has failed. The...

Re: Cross Linking Air Suspension

I think Land Rover uses electronic check valves to prevent such things.

Re: Rear bump feel when accelerating

I brought my 2012 Overland Summit 5.7 into the dealer to have this issue diagnosed and they decided to order a new transfer case. We agree that it's in the transfer case; probably a failed clutch in...

Re: Rear bump feel when accelerating

Experiencing this problem now at 50k miles. Literally appeared overnight. I think one (or more) of the clutch packs in the transfer case is failing or something. Looks like it's a new transfer case...

Re: Downshift issue at 40 mph with V8

I've noticed this a few times. My thought is actually that the problem is within the transfer case.

Re: CROWD PROJECT: Retrofitting "STOP" on the 2014 JGCs with ACC

Keep working on this - and BTW pre-2014 also have the forward facing camera for the ACC system. It's used for redundancy.

Re: Cross Linking Air Suspension

Just thinking about this today. It seems like such a simple solution to implement but Land Rover may hold a patent on it.

Re: Possible to fit 2014 Summit headlights / LED DRLS into 2012 Overland Summit?

I'm interested too. I would think that an adapter wiring harness is definitely within the realm of possibility.

Re: Question regarding Falken Ziex S/TZ-04

My tire guy said the Falken Ziex S/TZ-05 (which is the updated design) addresses a lot of the concerns.

Re: Question regarding Falken Ziex S/TZ-04

I have about 12k miles on them now and they're rotated regularly.

Regardless though, they've been noisy and lacked grip from day 1. In the wet, they're downright dangerous.

Re: Question regarding Falken Ziex S/TZ-04

I have them. Very, very noisy, they ride very hard, and they don't grip well.

They do look nice and meaty mounted, but they're not worth it. Even the stock Goodyear Forteras are far superior.

Re: Are the New Wiper Blades Interchangeable?

I think they'll fit interchangeably, but it's worth noting that the arm design has been revised slightly to make the aesthetics congruent.

Re: HID Headlights pointed up too high?

HID ballasts don't like being cycled in short bursts like that. You'll eventually reduce the ballast life significantly.

Same goes for traveling under a dark underpass and having the ballasts...

Wow. Unbelievable.

Please let us know how it turns out so others, like myself, have a path outlined in which we can move forward.

Re: HID Headlights pointed up too high?

There's no reason a vehicle of this caliber should require a workaround in order for a primary system to function safely and/or properly.

Subjectively, I do not like how stiff the ride is in...

Re: HID Headlights pointed up too high?

I take that back - there must be a separate and independent level sensor for the headlights for vehicles equipped with Intelibeam headlights but not QuadraLift.

On my numerous BMWs, Audis, and my...

Re: HID Headlights pointed up too high?

I doubt that. If that were true, I would suspect the suspension wouldn't level at the correct height and it would throw a fault code.

Mine does the same thing!

I am starting to wonder if the sensor is outputting reverse data or something.
