I had found a post once that gave the play by play state of ATF as it heated, e.g. at a certain temp it begins losing its ability to properly engage.

I will try to find that again.

I had bought some penetrating oil years ago that is meant to spray inside the door to prevent the rust you see at the bottom of the door, I guess I should search my garage and spray all my jeep's...

yup, this is exactly the one I have except in stainless steel vs black. It is also handy as a step when you need to reach the roof rack. My bumper would have gotten more hit-and-run damage last week...

for size/weight/cost I figured the 2.8l would be used. I guess retrofitting the urea is an issue.
the fuel economy of the 2.8l equipped wrangler is pretty good IMO.
