Re: Limited Slip Differential Options

False alarm, that unit won't work. I got under there and the differential is like a split case that would have to be completely removed to work on. Not going there...so unless I want a new Jeep with...

Re: Limited Slip Differential Options

I found a unit from auburn gear for about $650 that supposedly will go in there, provide LS and not affect the other electronics. Part # 5420142. I'm waiting for a call back from their top installer...

Limited Slip Differential Options

My 2014 WK2 has quadra trac2. Is there any way,Jeep or aftermarket, to replace the open rear diff with a limited slip? It has the brake BLD system to simulate limited slip, but I'm not sure how well...

Re: Painting WK2 calipers

I had the MGP caliper covers on from last spring until this winter and had no issues whatsoever with heat, noise or anything. I never ran them in snowy weather, I guess there is a possibility of...

Re: 5.7 Disappearing Coolant

That's a good sign if the oil was clean. Let the dealer do the tests under different conditions. The interface of the block, head and gasket is pretty complex. Leaks, cracks or gaps may exhibit...

Re: 5.7 Disappearing Coolant

It's been my experience that oil contaminating the coolant would produce an effect like you're seeing. The reverse is true also. What does the oil look like? If the level is slightly overfull and...

Re: 5.7 Disappearing Coolant

As I was reading your post and the symptoms, I was thinking "head gasket" all along. That's unfortunate, but that's what warranties are for. I would try to work with the dealer, but be prepared to...

Thanks for the replies. If I'm understanding the last reply correctly, according to the TSB the failure to hold a setting can be looked at by the tech an undesirable condition and changed? I wonder...

ECO mode default setting

It looks like in the 2015 Grand Cherokees, the default on the ECO setting will stay where you set it even on restart. Can this feature be retrofitted or reprogrammed by the dealer(or any other way)...

Optimum TIre Pressue 265/ 60 /18 LTX MS2

I'm still trying to find the cold PSI that will give the best balance between ride and responsive handling. 35-36 cold rides pretty good, but 38 cold gives more response at highway speeds. The tires...

Update. Just got back from the dealers. They said that it was the PS pump.
I'm skeptical, with 20,000 miles, PS pump failure seems way premature and they didn't seem to take very long to give me a...

Re: 18" to 20 " conversion ride quality

18" to 20 " conversion ride quality

right. although I would prefer a locking diff, the jeep is pretty formidable as is. Perhaps that will be an option with the v6 limited by the time I'm ready for a new ride.
