Any one know or can explain to me the point of the key? Once attached can you remove the bar with just the key?

Thinking of getting the mopar oem ones and would like it if the bars are...

I got the Fram replacement for just over $20. It looks better that the MOPAR part and is much cheaper. It has Arm & Hammer baking soda helps lock up odors to keep the air inside the vehicle smelling...
