Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Thanks. Didn't actually think you were referring to mine, just was curious. I'm hoping that once I swap to SRT8 Bilsteins that it will drop it another half inch. Am please with it either way.

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I went 275/45/20 (on 20x9 WK1 SRT8 REPs) and didn't have a problem at all with the upper control arm bushing (and/or the upper ball joint stud).

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I don't have immediate pictures, but there should be some in this thread somewhere of mine. About 8-9 months ago, I added Eibach SRT8 Pro-Kit Springs, Bilstein 4100s, SRT8 Rep 20x9, and 275/45/20...

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I have WK Bilsteins & Eibach SRT8 Pro-Kit (which are lower than the SRT OEM springs) and they do not bottom out. I will say that the WK Bilsteins are a tad over pressurized for my liking, but I only...

I have a 05 5.7 like you, not a 4.7.

Was the install difficult (I keep seeing people say that they removed the engine just to replace warped manifolds)?

Your thumping will be most likely be your Top Front Differential Pivot Mount. Shouldn't be more than $180-250 to have fixed at most shops. Not sure on a DIY.

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Look at the 1st page of this thread and it will give you an idea. Note that most running the Bilstein WK HD Struts/Shocks (4600) lose about 3/8" of drop, so factor that into your equations when...

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

I'll be honest... I have those 4600's and they are rather stiff with my SRT8 Eibach Pro-Kit (higher spring rates, lower ride height). I'll let someone else chime in on how they ride with the stock...

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Define "Stock springs". You won't get any drops with Stock Springs (you may actually get a slight raise in height, as the 4600's are higher pressure shocks than stock).

As for the links, I do not...

Re: A Different window problem

Take it to the dealer, as that doesn't sound right at all. Also, a 2007 is not a WJ, but in fact a WK Jeep (WJ was from 1999-2004).

Re: The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread

Went with the Bilstein HD (4600) struts/shocks for the WK & the Eibach Pro-Kit Springs for the SRT8. Ride is firmer but definitely manageable, and the handling is great now.

Re: Replacing antenna mount

That fender damage is pretty bad. I don't think you'll get a new antenna base to sit flush on it (water could leak around the base).

Do you plan on replacing the fender as well?
