Re: Best new Sport Utility Vehicle over $40K

I think they made a great choice with the Jeep (especially if they are factoring price), but how do they possibly pick the C-class over the A6 for "Luxury Car"...not even close.

Re: mud flaps on GC ?

I agree that they look better without...but after 9k miles and one winter I sure wish I had put them on from the start (that or installed a clear bra). My rear rocker panels are quite chipped (those...

Re: V8 --- what grade of gas to use?

I use 87 in my 2011 with just over 9k miles. Never had a single issue and it runs great all the time. I never compared gas milage so can't comment on that.

Re: ChryCo 300 and and 8 speed

A few MPG better would certainly be a nice bonus...just hoping it brings the HEMI 0-60 to around 6 seconds.

Rocker Panel Paint Chips

I have just over 6k miles on my 2011 Overland, several thousand of which were put on this winter. I already have a ton of those little paint chips on my rocker panels (right before the back wheel on...

Did this latest trip fix everything? I'm suppose to drop mine off tomorrow so hopefully that will be my last trip for this.

Re: Air Suspension Problem - Noise and Not Working

Haha, right behind you. Hopefully that takes care of yours so I can pass that on to the dealer.

Do you remember when you got your jeep? I'm pretty sure mine arrived in October.

Re: Air Suspension Problem - Noise and Not Working

Oops, I must have misread your post. I'm not familiar with that sound...but I haven't noticed any increase in noise (other than a road or wind as the speed increases) when over 60.

Re: 87 or 89 octane

I have almost 6k miles on my overland hemi and use 87 with no issues.

If the manual didn't say I could use 87, I would go with 89 even if it didn't knock or anything. But as you know the manual...

Re: Air Suspension Problem - Noise and Not Working

Had mine serviced today and I thought it was taken care of when I got in the jeep as the suspension was raised to off road level 1 (couldn't raise past the normal ride height prior to this)...So I...

Re: Air Suspension Problem - Noise and Not Working

I'm not sure, but I think that "exhale" noise is normal for the air suspension models (especially when it's lowering since it's releasing air). Since mine has been acting up, I've been hearing it...

Re: Limited vs Overland. V6 or V8?

Yea, with those options there isn't much of a difference in price and you do get some additional features...but again if the difference is $1000...that's still $1000 no matter how you look at it...

Just curious as it wasn't available when I ordered, how much was the advanced warning / adaptive cruise package?

Re: Remote Start/Heated Seat question

I really wish you could set your own temperature...low 40's in NY in plenty cold to have the heated sites/steering wheel kick on IMO.

Re: Hemi Owners - Gas Octane Question?

Thanks for all the answers...I'll probably just start using 87 as the manual says it's fine. It's cheaper and I can go to the gas station I prefer (they have 87 and 93 only).

Re: Hemi Owners - Gas Octane Question?

Thanks for the responses.

I filled it with 89 today...I'd assume the dealer put 87 in it...so I ran the first 250 miles on that (assuming that's what they put in).
