Re: Shifter recall coming

Exactly. I know what gear I'm in. I'm just annoyed that sometimes I miss the intended gear b/c the shifter has no feel to it.

Re: Shifter recall coming

Okay then that is my over site.

It's not that the shifter is complicated. It's a bad design, functionally speaking. As I've said before I like how it looks, but it does not work as well as a...

Re: Shifter recall coming

I love the folks in here calling people idiots, b/c those people don't like how a shifter works, or have said they have missed gears. I especially like it from someone who has no experience with the...

Re: Shifter recall coming

Everything I've read so far says that it will be a transmission and computer update. Meaning they won't be replacing anything physically.

Re: Shifter recall coming

Just so people aren't confused they will not be putting in the new gated shifter from the '16 model. I prefer this b/c although I think the design is flawed I do like the look of this shifter better...

They are calling these...

Re: The Jeep has been Nu Finished

Haha. It's the only way I know how to do it. It's actually a very simple process. I just apply it with a damp sponge and then go back and wipe it right off with a soft cloth. It really only takes...

Re: Key Upgrade?

Also new FOBs are pretty expensive if I remember correctly.

I feel you though as I hated the key on my 2011 and really like my 2014s FOB. That old key was a weird shape with sharp corners on...

Re: The Jeep has been Nu Finished

Thanks Gravity!

My dad always used Nu Finish so that's how I learned to hand "wax" a car. I put wax in parenthesis b/c technically it's a polish and not a wax. None of that matters to me though...

Re: Potential JGC Buyer.. Are they really that bad?

Yeah the last KBB I did on MY14 Limited with 38K miles was almost $27,000. That is trade in value, not private seller, in very-good condition. I have a couple extra's like the 20' wheels and 8.4N...

Re: Tire Pressure warning on dash but it's okay??

If you want the reading to go away you are going to have to inflate them all to the recommended pressure. I had this happen about a month ago when my tires went below threshold b/c of sub zero temps.

Re: anyone else's jeep make this noise?

Yep. That's normal. Mine makes the same noise. Mine kind of makes that noise when idling too. I've also walked past other GC's that were idling and I could hear the noise.

Re: OEM Jeep Slush floor mats not very good :/
