Re: MY2014 GC Limited Springs

Yes indeed.

I'm not suggesting more tension... instead the adjustment of the cams to tilt the ball forward from the vertical alignment you have now. This would position the trunnions closer to...

Re: MY2014 GC Limited Springs

Jarrid good work on getting this all done. It must have seemed like a never ending pain in the arse.

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that you could get more clearance under the trunnions by...

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

They are practical Burt... but that's not for everyone.

Watch the height of the front ones... I found myself catching them on stuff I'd never even considered the slightest issue in my Prado...

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

I think my side steps are doing more to protect from rock strike than the mudflaps.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Will excuse my shameful lack of Jeep knowledge, but what's the difference between a 3 and 4? Is the 3 the tiny screen one???

Will the rollback package I received is named to indicate that it is for the Europe / rest of the world market.

Re: WK2 Wheel Specs

Rather than speaking with the assembler, go to the axle or suspension manufacturer and ask direct.

I've found Vehicle Components in Queensland to be extremely helpful.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Russell this may be key to the problem.

I had installed the SRT stuff with my Customtronix. When I rolled back I noticed that the SRT splash screen and apps icon were still present. I quietly...

Re: Mud Flaps on 2014

Re: trimming.

I used two Irwin quick clamps to hold one mudflap on top of the other, offset lengthwise. The offset was the sum of the amount that I wanted trimmed, plus the base of my Rotozip. I...

Re: Servicing jeep in perth

Yeah it was about 9 months ago mate. Interestingly, the Statutory Write-off wreck went to the Middle East to be repaired. No wonder we can't get second hand parts here FFS.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I wonder exactly what this first line means in the TSB... which is actually just an ordinary Uconnect update, not a WiTech / dealer flash.

Based on the...

Re: Servicing jeep in perth

Yeah I think it might be paranoia then. The parking brake mechanism has a fairly short stroke on mine, and I've been cranking it down plenty hard. Parking your shiz on a hill is bad joss.

Re: Grand Ltd Vs. KL Trailhawk

Push the $2k down to a grand or so. Several years ago I paid a dealer $1100 to transport a Prado from Melbs to Perth. Prices would have risen, but it's definitely cheaper the other way!
