Re: Destination A/T vs Terra Grapplers

Thanks for the info here. How many miles have you put on your Duratracs and how are they wearing? How do you like them for road noise, and handling in dry / wet / snow / ice? And at this point would...

For wheel size, find your tire manufacturer's specs and that will tell you the width limits for the tire.

Re: "I don't know how to drive in snow/ice, so I blame my GC" Part Deux

f1anatic, good video, interesting tests there.

Yeah joplin, I agree with you, experience and skill go a long way, and then better equipment (4wd systems, traction control, tires etc) serve to...

Good info in this thread. Thanks to the contributors especially Biggie for the video in post #16. (Biggie, Latham is my hometown, BTW!)

Re: Jeep is dead in my driveway :(

Oh no! I hope it isn't too serious or expen$ive.

I thought the message saying to press the clutch was interesting.

Purdue, it has 16Kmiles, see his pictures.

Good luck to you, pinetar.

Re: "I don't know how to drive in snow/ice, so I blame my GC" Part Deux

I agree, but at the same time I do not blame Jeep. Most folks don't take their rigs off-road. If Jeep were to outfit all new JGCs with AT tires it would only end up bumping the purchase price a...

Every attempt shown is in reverse. He never tries forward; and he never tries giving much less gas so as to not spin the tires. It also looks like he's up against a slight lip and with no traction...

Nice! What I like about the JGC is that it's such a comfortable and almost luxurious ride, and for a stock rig it's pretty capable off road.

Anyone near Hollister, California, there's an off-road...

Re: EcoDiesel Which Oil Will You Use

You may want to make sure that they only use the Jeep-approved oil and filter. Merely taping the requirements to the steering wheel, that doesn't mean that's what they will use.

$75 per oil change...

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

My update: I'm at 14K miles now, that's 2,700 miles since the cat fix, and so far so good, no MIL or P20EE code. I hope that's a solid fix and stays that way.

Kudos to my dealership, Stevens Creek...

Hollister Hills, Esprit de Four Safety Clinic?

Will be on Saturday 16 May. I did it last year, my 2014 JGC 3.0 CRD was barely 2 months old and it was fun! I learned a lot and didn't want to scratch my rig.

Link to last year's thread:...

Re: Any high mileage diesels out there? How many miles do you have?

Mine has 14K miles on it. At every fillup I check the oil. Every time. Fortunately it has never needed additional oil, the level on the dipstick stays constant.

HDC (Hill Descent Control) is great!
